Changes in public transport routes in selected city parts (from 5 Aug 2023)

Detailed overview of the changes in public transport from 5 August together with recommendations on how to travel in the new way.

From 5 August 2023, there will be a major reorganisation of some bus and trolleybus routes in order to improve public transport in selected parts of the city. With the changes, the Bratislava transport company wants to better adapt public transport to the current needs of the city's inhabitants following the construction of new residential districts, shopping centres and the new Bory Hospital.

The most significant changes will occur in the western part of the city (Devínska Nová Ves, Dúbravka, Lamač, Záhorská Bystrica) and in the eastern part (Trnávka, Avion Shopping Park, Airport). Some established connections will be replaced by new combinations and strengthening of intervals on selected routes. In these parts of the city, new carrier lines with denser traffic will be added, with an interval between services of no more than 15 minutes. There will also be reduced overlaps between routes serving the same areas.

Due to the limited financial possibilities of the City, the increase in traffic at the busiest times will be partly at the expense of traffic mainly in the early morning and late evening hours with low passenger demand, when the interval between services will be extended on some routes.

Changes in the western part of the city - Devínska Nová Ves, Dúbravka, Lamač, Záhorská Bystrica

In these parts, there will be changes to the routes, or changes to the service of stops on routes 20 21 23 26 30 36 37 63 92. Routes 123 and 130 will be cancelled. The stops Hany Ponickej, Krematórium, Pod Zečákom and OC Patrónka will not be served by any route.

Routes 20 36 37 63 and at some times also route 29 will be operated more frequently.

  • Route 20 will have a modified range of traffic and the detour to the Technické sklo will be cancelled, where route 23 will now run.
    • Service intervals will be increased to 10 minutes during peak school hours and 15 minutes during off-peak hours and on free days after 8am.
    • Most of the connections of route 20 will run along the route Opletalova, VW5 - Podvornice, only some connections will run to Tesco Lamač, mostly at an interval of 30 minutes.
    • Thanks to the adjusted intervals, the connections will better connect to the trams in Dúbravka and the omission of the Technické sklo will speed up the connection between Dúbravka and Devínská Nová Ves.
  • Route 21 will have a modified traffic range and the service to the terminal stops in Devínska Nová Ves will be changed.
    • Most of the connections of route 21 will terminate at the stop Jána Jonáša, VW1. Connections will call at the Volkswagen, VW2 stop only during alternating work shifts at the car factory.
    • The terminus Pri Sandbergu will be served by route 21 only on weekday peak hours.
    • The stop Vápenka will no longer be served by this route.
    • The interval on route 21 will be extended from 10 to 15 minutes on weekday peak and off-peak periods. However, at these times the service to the old part of Devínska Nová Ves will be improved from 20 to 15 minutes.
  • Route 23 will also serve the Technické sklo stop with all services (instead of route 20) and most services will run from Devínská Nová Ves to the Podvornice stop in Dúbravka.
    • In the section Podvornice - Lamač, route 23 will run only on peak weekdays during school hours. At the same time, these connections will also serve Segnáre stop.
    • The extent of traffic to the Mláka stop will remain unchanged.
  • Route 26 will start and end at the Homolova stop in Dúbravka.
    • It will serve the Pri kríži stop in both directions only on Saratovská Street.
  • Route 29 will have increased traffic at the most popular times, 10 minutes at peak times during the school year and 15 minutes at weekends. Conversely, the interval will be extended to 30 minutes on weekday peak hours and morning/evening on non-working days.
    • In the evenings, traffic will be boosted in the direction from Malá Scéna to Riviéra to 15 minutes throughout the week.
  • Route 30 will have a completely new route. The traffic in the section Most SNP - Patrónka will be cancelled, where it will be replaced by the strengthened route 37.

    • The route will serve the Bory Hospital from Dúbravka and Lamač, with the possibility of transferring to it from the carrier routes 4 and 21.
    • Service to the Bory Home will be provided from the new Vladimíra Jukla stop on the street of the same name, the existing temporary stop Hany Ponickej will be cancelled.
    • The route will replace routes 23 36 123 in several sections and will provide more frequent services between Dúbravka and Bory. At the same time, it will also replace the branch of line 63 to Tesco Lamač.
    • In the section Dúbravka - Lamač, the traffic will be mainly at 15-minute intervals, in the section Lamač - Patrónka it will run every 30 minutes.
    • After the traffic situation is resolved, it is planned to reroute route 30 between Tesco Lamač and Segnáre via Pod Zečákom Street.
  • Route 36 will provide a connection from Strmé vŕšky to the carrier route 37 in the centre of Záhorská Bystrica along a new shortened route:
      • Strmé vŕšky - Krče - MiÚ Záhorská Bystrica - Záhorská - Krče - Strmé vŕšky.
    • In the direction from Strmé vŕšky it will be possible to change at the edge to route 37 at the stop Záhorská (A), in the opposite direction at the stop Krče (B).
    • On the route Záhorská Bystrica - Bory - Dúbravka it will be possible to travel instead of route 36 by a combination of the routes 216 and 30 with a change at the Nemocnica Bory stop, or by a combination of the routes 37 and 30 with a change at the Hodonínska stop.

CESTUJEM MHD

CESTUJEM MHD

zrušenie 74 je pekná kravina. Ten, čo to vymyslel, nikdy necestoval MHD do Vlčieho hrdla. 70 je večne plná.... Načo som si kúpila ročný lístok? Teraz mám chodiť do roboty taxíkom?
